These back saw blades are made from blued 1095 hardened steel to a rockwell hardness of around 65. This type of steel is the typical steel used on most modern saws. These saw blades have teeth at either 12ppi (points per inch) or 16ppi (points per inch) that are at an 8 degree of rake which is a nice intermediate rake between cross cut and rip cut. There is no fleam in these teeth and these saw plates do need to be sharpened. These saw blades are perfect for building your own saw or replacing the blade in an old saw that is still solid but has a beat up old saw blade or teeth that are too far gone.
