Glancy's Alchemy Wood Finish FAQs
Q: What is the difference between Glancy's No.1 oil and boiled linseed oil?
A: Glancy's No.1 oil will bring out the natural color and luster of a piece of wood giving the wood a warm color and chatoyance that is very hard to achieve otherwise. Boiled linseed oil typically will darken and dull the color of a piece of wood especially light colored woods making it very difficult to achieve that luster that is seen on professional pieces of furniture, boxes and turned projects.
Q: Does Glancy's No.1 oil protect wood?
A: Glancy's No.1 is a drying oil that will seal the wood keeping stains from absorbing into the pores of the wood but it is not a buildable hard coat finish that will protect the surface of the wood from scratches and long term abuse.
Q: What are your processing times after purchase?
A: Typically if you order on a business day we will have your purchase packed and in the shippers hands in 1-2 business days. All orders placed between Friday-Sunday will go out on the following Monday.
