Glancy's No.1 Oil FAQ

Does Glancy's No.1 oil protect wood?

Glancy's No.1 is a drying oil that will seal the wood keeping stains from absorbing into the pores of the wood but it is not a buildable hard coat finish that will protect the surface of the wood from scratches and long term abuse.

What is the difference between Glancy's No.1 oil and boiled linseed oil?

Glancy's No.1 oil will bring out the natural color and luster of a piece of wood giving the wood a warm color and chatoyance that is very hard to achieve otherwise.  Boiled linseed oil typically will darken and dull the color of a piece of wood especially light colored woods making it very difficult to achieve that luster that is seen on professional pieces of furniture, boxes and turned projects.

What are your processing times after purchase?

Typically if you order on a business day we will have your purchase packed and in the shippers hands in 1-2 business days.  All orders placed between Friday-Sunday will go out on the following Monday.
